LYKA

August 2019 - June 2020

LYKA is a free social media platform which allows users to connect, discover new things, and share their interests with other users. The platform allows people to share photos and chat with others. Users receive LYKA Gems by giving ratings or being rated by others, sharing content, gaining a following, and spending time on the app. These LYKA Gems can be shared among friends, exchanged for goods with our partner stores, and can be collected to redeem gifts on our LYKA Shop ranging from gift certificates, gadgets, and even hotel accommodations.

As a Junior Project Manager under the E-Commerce department, other than my responsibilities regarding overseeing the internal processes within E-Commerce, I also had to create different collaterals. I have also helped in creating different designs needed by other departments such as the HR, Marketing, and Events & Promotions.

Sikháy: A Resource-Management Game Based on the Minimum Wage of Filipino Workers

May 2018 - May 2019

Anna Lagdan, Aina Ner, and I made a game entitled Sikháy and it aims to make the players aware of the realities and struggles that minimum wage earners are facing. The players can choose one of three jobs namely security guard, waiter, and factory worker. Within 15 days in the game, the player must manage their budget and play the minigame that corresponds with the job they have chosen in order to sustain their family of five. The player has to make decisions on the family's expenses like meals, transportation, and allowance for the children. These decisions affect each family member's health, which the player has to be mindful of because if anyone's health goes down too much, they die and the player automatically loses the game. There are also other options in the game that help the player get more money if they really need it like taking loans, making your children work, stealing, and gambling. Random events like natural calamities and a family member falling ill can also happen, which force the player to spend their money. To win the game, the player must make sacrifices and compromises to show that minimum wage is not a sufficient amount to sustain a family.

ASLA 17 Congress Branding

November 2018 - January 2019

The Ateneo Student Leaders Assembly or ASLA is an annual 5-day leadership congress. Now on its 17th run, the program continues to create ripples of change by inviting student leaders from all Ateneo universities across the country to foster a community of ASLAns serving across different sectors of society.

As one of the Communications Leads during the 17th Congress, I was assigned to create the branding of the congress itself. The theme, "Kilalanin ang Kinabukasan" reflects the overaching goal for the batch. When the theme was formulated, I immediately thought of telescopes and looking at the sky to foresee one's future. It can also be noticed how in most of the materials, it has a nature-feel to it—reflecting the venue of the event, Mount Purro.

Infinity

November 2018

Infinity is an online platform with a mobile app which connects both wedding vendors and suppliers with wedding clients who are in the process of planning their wedding events. It serves as a plan tracker, budget manager, and chat room. Through Infinity, suppliers and vendors can have more control over their client accounts, monitor all communications and transactions, and run their business with a lower financial risk and client lead issues. I was asked to help in creating a prototype for a case study by UP Diliman students.

Trend Micro's Knowledge-Based Website Gamification

Trend Micro's Knowledge Management (KM) Department handles knowledge-based articles in the company. There are websites for knowledge-based articles, which are used to solve and answer bugs and questions regarding Trend Micro's products. During my internship, the KM Team started an initiative to gamify the website to entice the workers in the company to continue creating these articles. They requested for me to design and create various badges and shields for this initiative.

Trend Micro Initiative for Education Mobile Application Prototype

June 2018 - July 2018

The Trend Micro Initiative for Education (TMIE) aims to strengthen their efforts on user awareness and digital safety education. The parent initiative supports 3 digital safety outreach program with Internet Safety for Kids & Families (ISKF), Internet Safety for Small Businesses (ISSB), and Cybersecurity Education for Universities (CEU). Alongside my co-intern, NJ Santos, we were tasked to make a prototype and proposal for the TMIE app. Navigating through the app, you can choose between which of the three programs you will choose. Then when you go to the homescreen, you will be able to view articles that will be retrieved from the actual TMIE website, as well as the upcoming events.

PaSELLubong

January 2018

PaSELLubong was the winning group from Blue Hacks 2018, alongside my groupmates, Joaquin Jacinto and Miguel Habana. Blue Hacks is a two-day hackathon that provides an opportunity for students from different colleges and universities to apply their skills in designing and developing applications that will address relevant matters in society. Blue Hacks 2018's theme was nation building which is why we focused on the indigenous people.

PaSELLubong is an e-commerce mobile application wherein indigenous people can sell their products and educate the consumers with their own cultures and practices. The goal of the app is to tackle the two problems within the indigenous communities: their economic sustainability and the preservation of their culture.

EATeneo

March 2017 - May 2017

EATeneo was a proposed mobile application for JSEC Challenge in Ateneo. The JSEC Challenge is held thrice a year, wherein students will compete which stalls will be in JSEC. JSEC is a cafeteria located inside the Ateneo. My task was to design and create a prototype a mobile application which allows the user to view the stalls competing. Our group, composed of Mikee Jazmines, Tres Yap, Miko Deang, Aaron See, and I, found that students have a difficult time navigating the area where the challenge is held due to the lack of space, and the huge crowd. Through an app, it will be easier for students to see the menus of the stalls, as well as seeing the reviews of the stalls.
